Here are two of the many dealerships that were in York county Pennsylvania. Millers was owned by Dean Miller and was located in Stewartstown, Pennsylvania, Neuhauses as you can see was an old dealership that was located in Glen Rock Pennsylvania. They were located along the Codorus creek and got flooded a few times. Deere wanted them to put up a new building so they did at a different location, but it did not work out, they sold it and moved back to Glen Rock but shortly closed. Some of the employees wanted to start a new location and call it Neuhauses but Deere nixed the idea so Southern York Turf And Tractor became the new business.
Many of the older dealers were also feed and or hardware and appliance dealers.
Many other dealerships were located in York County or nearby. They are all gone now. Irvin Mundis, Emigsville, W. L. Sterner Hanover, Jacob L. Neuhaus Red Lion, Clair D. Worley York, Waltemyers, Red Lion. There may have been some that I forgot or never knew of but these are the ones that my father did at least some business with. Now every body either goes to Whiteford Maryland or across the river to Lancaster county. Interesting there is a dealer in Whiteford Maryland that has been changed at least three times, Enfield Equipment, Deer Creek Equipment, now it is part of Atlantic Tractor.
