For Sale: 1963 John Deere 2010 Industrial, purchased by U.S. Navy in December, 1962. This is a rare piece of history. This tractor is fully restored and ready for show, parade, or maybe museum. It needs nothing, but a new owner. Gas engine and Hi-Lo transmission. I have been told that these were used on aircraft carriers and naval yards as tow tractors. Some were mounted with sweepers. This is a numbers matching tractor with the Brass Navy plate on the left front. The only other one I have seen was sold by Mecum Auctions in 2016. It is showing a little over 3,000 hrs and I was told by previous owner that this was believed to be correct. I do not know how many were made for this Navy contract, but would suspect very few.
